This term we are going to be inspired by the microscopic world, explore science, learn about artists and the wonders of our world.
Join us as we be build our skills across many mediums and techniques. We will be sculpting, printing, painting, drawing, making and more. Our experienced and passionate Teaching Artists will not only be sharing their skills and knowledge in the studio - they will be heading out to schools and libraries! MICROCOSMIC
All around us there is a teeny, tiny world we cannot see. This term we will be inspired by the science of micro-organisms! We will also investigate the work of contemporary artists who paint, draw and sculpt abstract works inspired by this hidden world. We will explore drawing and painting on a miniature, and a giant, scale. From itsy-bitsy drawings to a giant collaborative masterpiece. We will make tiny 3D paper sculptures bursting out of petri dishes, and create and capture our own (never before seen) enlarged micro-organism inspired creatures under a dome. Your teacher will help you build your art muscles – sharing tips and tricks for painting, drawing, sculpting and experimenting. In this class you will have the opportunity to learn new art skills and apply your critical thinking to an intriguing term-long project. You will learn about famous artists, science and make amazing art inspired by it all. Suitable for all levels of artist. TINY ART PLAY
Each week we have a wonderful time making art with our tiny friends. Come and enjoy making art with your child. You will draw, paint, sculpt and make a fabulous mess together. This hands-on art class focusses on the joy of making. We are led by the children on a wonderful adventure through playful creative arts and crafts. Each class includes sensory learning, process-driven art making and lots of messy fun! Your teacher will guide you through different art techniques - painting, drawing, sculpting, experimenting and building. You will learn about our world and make amazing art inspired by it. Suitable for all levels of artist. AFTER SCHOOL ART CLUB
Come and chill out in our studio after school, and make some awesome art with your friends. Each week you will explore a new project - draw, paint, sculpt and experiment with us! This hands-on art class focusses on building your art skills, critical thinking and imagination. We explore different techniques and media each week – using the tools professional artists use. Your teacher will help you build your art muscles – sharing tips and tricks for painting, drawing, sculpting, experimenting and building. You will learn about famous artists, science and make amazing art inspired by it all. Suitable for all levels of artist.
